I’m a data visual journalist and facilitator based in Oakland, Calif. Currently, I work as the deputy data editor at the San Francisco Chronicle. At my core, I am a storyteller.
My biggest journalistic passion at the moment is figuring out the different and awesome ways in which data and visuals can not only enrich, but drive storytelling. This is especially exciting when it involves collaborations!
Journalism has been a wild ride so far! I’ve worked in newsrooms small and big, across platforms, and in a variety of reporting, data, graphics and editing roles. It’s been challenging at times, but also wonderful and inspiring.
